And shortly after this tree, the path ran out into a parking lot. The Sentier Littoral seemed to continue along the sandy beach, and I don't like walking in sand. The time was now 17:20, and the bus would leave in forty minutes. According to the map, I still had a few km to walk to the railway station from where the bus would leave. (The bus was train replacement due to work on the tracks.) I started to walk in fast pace, and with help of the topographical map I found the best way through town, and I made the bus with one minute to go. Only to find that there is a second railway station in Hendaye, which was at the place where I had crossed the railway shortly after the parking lot. So I could have taken it very easy...
